This revolver features full or partial matching numbers on the frame, barrel, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder pin, wedge and cylinder. Has the New York barrel address. CONDITION: This revolver remains in fine all original condition having seen little use. Barrel retains approximately 70% original bright blue finish with high edge wear and some light toning. Razor sharp legends. Even the forcing cone retains most of the blue finish. Nice colors on flats of loading lever. Generous fire blue on screws. Cylinder scene has complete roll die stagecoach scene with all original nipples; safety pins gone. Frame retains approximately 20% original color, balance toned with traces on hammer. Two of the three frame screws are marred and need attention. One piece walnut grips show typical wear at base. Indexes and locks up correctly. Strong, sharp rifling with shiny grooves and no blemishes. With some attention to the frame screws, this is an exceptional 1849.
