Features six shot, double action, blued finish, fixed sights and Colt black composite grips. This is a very early Official Police that falls into the Army serial number series. The name "SAM REDMANN" is stamped in butt who was supposedly a police officer on the Port Huron, Michigan Police Department. CONDITION: The composite grips have three kill notches on the left panel. Port Huron has a bridge that connects to Canada and was a hotbed of bootlegging activity until prohibition ended in 1933. It is highly likely that the three kill notches had something to do with a shoot-out with smugglers. Further research regarding Sam Redmann's career in Port Huron could add exciting history to this gun.
