Manufactured in 1902 with 26 inch octagon barrel and full length magazine. Blue finished receiver with case colored hammer and lever. Two piece American walnut stocks with factory varnish finish and crescent butt plate. Two tone sporting blade front sight with elevator adjustable rear sight. Chambered for the 40-82 Winchester cartridge . Condition. Exceptionally fine . Rifle retains over 95% of its bright factory applied blued finish with a small area of thinning blue around the rear sight. The crowns of the octagon barrel flats have very slight edge wear as is to be expected. The magazine is equally fine with typical edge wear at front. The receiver is very fine with most all original finish. Very slight finish loss is found on the upper and lower tangs as well as a small line of corrosion on the right side of receiver. Hammer and lever retain over 70% of their respected vivid case colors The Two piece American walnut stocks are exceptional and retaining most all of their original factory applied varnish finish . Small storage and handling marks are present as is expected. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Truly an exceptional example of one of Winchesters finest firearms ever developed.TDW
