Near new and possibly unfired. This 1895 Winchester Saddle Ring Carbine is chambered for the 30 Army (30-40 Krag) cartridge and manufactured in 1921. 22 inch round barrel with military pattern blade front sight and ladder adjustable military pattern rear sight. blue finish with oil finished American walnut stocks. and carbine butt plate. The 1895 Carbines where used extensively post WW1 by private security and police agencies. These handy little carbines where often neglected and hard used and are rarely found in exceptionally fine condition. CONDITION Near New and possibly unfired. This is as fine as could be expected. The only finish loss is found on the lever extension from being operated as well as high point finish loss from being stored. The rifle has a light covering of hardened storage grease and this is very likely from the manufacturer. The bore is bright and shiny with a small amount of dried grease still evident. Mechanics crisp and in proper functioning order. This is as pristine as I gets and could not honestly be improved upon. TDW
