26 inch tapered octagon barrel with bead equipped sporting blade front sight with Lyman 21 "Climbin-Lyman" side sight mounted on receiver. chambered for the uncommon 38-72 WCF cartridge and manufactured in 1903. mounted with two piece American walnut stocks with ebony forend insert and crescent butt plate. Blue finish with case colored hammer and trigger plate. CONDITION, Fine with over 85% original factory applied blue finish remaining on barrel. Receiver retains over 80% bright factory blue with typical finish loss at top of chamber bridge and lever extensions. The two piece American walnut stocks retain generous amounts of their factory varnish and are very good overall. A very small crack is evident at bottom of stock wrist but can easily be repaired. The bore is very fine, being bright with sharp rifling. Mechanics are crisp and properly functioning. TDW
