Lot contains: (A) Model 1902 artillery officer's full dress cap with gold bullion oak leaves embroidered on the leather visor and with gold bullion eagle directly embroidered onto the front of the cap. Gold chin strap with rimless M1902 eagle buttons - one is loose. Crown is embossed "The Warnock Uniform Co 19 & 21 West 31st St New York". CONDITION: The black wool body shows no holes or damage but is slightly misshapen. Leather sweatband shows moderate wear but is tightly sewn to the body. (B) Pre-WWII artillery officer's full dress cap with gold bullion leaves embroidered on the cloth covered visor. Gold chin strap with two-piece M1912 eagle buttons. CONDITION: Excellent, interior leather sweatband, black cotton lining and celluloid sweat shield all clean and showing no wear. (C) Pre-World War II ordnance officer's full dress cap with gold bullion oak leaves embroidered on the leather visor and with gold bullion eagle directly embroidered onto the front of the cap. Gold chin strap with two-piece M1912 eagle buttons. Interior leather sweatband, black cotton lining and celluloid sweat shield show moderate wear and underside of visor exhibits wrinkles. Interior crown marked "The Warnock Uniform Co 15817 West 46th St New York". CONDITION: Exterior of the cap is in excellent condition. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
