CLEVELAND, Grover (1837-1908) as 24th President of the United States, Partially-printed, document signed, dated Washington, DC, 19 October 1896. Countersigned by L.Q.C. Lamar II as Secretary of the Interior. Lamar, a Mississippian, member of Congress, Confederate officer and minister to Russia, and eventually Supreme Court justice. Land grant to William Frederick Cardin for Lot 231 containing 41 acres in Indian Territory, dated 19 October 1896, bearing the seal of the US General Land Office.
