The Heckler & Koch Squeeze Cocker pistol Model P-7 is one the world finest handguns ever produced. With the unique squeeze cocking safety and fluted chamber the P-7 became known as one of the safest most reliable guns made. The design of the pistol almost completely eliminates muzzle rise and is a very soft recoiling pistol. Later improvements / changes where the relocation of the magazine release and the inclusion of a heat sink bar above the trigger to avoid burning the operators finger during rapid fire. This example with a date code of "IE" is believed to be factory engraved with deep scrolls and vines on the slide with the application of heavy gold plate. The model designation is hand engraved on the left forward section of the trigger guard " MOD P7" . Slide is marked in script " Heckler & Koch GmbH Made in West Germany" Serial number is found on the right side of frame and is also found on bottom of slide and is cut through the gold finish. Two piece scroll carved wood grips have a gold shield with script "FSJ" engraved in center. This unique pistol is housed in fitted walnut case and include spare magazine, takedown tool and gas piston cleaning brush. Condition. Fine with some slight finish spotting and slight pitting on rear sight . TDW
