A German Third Reich NSKK Dagger in, overall, excellent condition. The "ASSO" marked steel blade is in excellent condition overall. The blade has been heavily cleaned removing much of the original cross-graining, as well as the burnishing inside the "Alles fur Deutschland" blade motto. Scattered marks can be seen on both sides of the blade and were touched up when cleaned. The upper and lower cross-guards are made of nickle silver, with the lower being Gau marked "Wm" for Westmark. The cross guards are in excellent condition with scattered light marks. The rosewood grip is in excellent condition with a few scattered marks throughout. The grip eagle and SA roundel appear to have been replaced at some point. The scabbard is overall in very good condition. The upper and lower fittings are in excellent condition, but may have been tampered with as evidence on the screw head shows some rounding from a screwdriver slipping. The scabbard has been painted black but appears to have been painted post war. An original dagger hanger accompanies this dagger. The German Police Bayonet is overall in near mint condition. The nickle plated blade is near mint and marked "A.C.S" for Alexander Coppel Solingen; aka Alcoso. The blade has a few superficial scratches, but is very nice. The nickle plated brass hilt and guard are in excellent condition and shows some patina in the recesses of the design. The stag grips are in near mint condition, and sport an aluminum Police grip eagle. The scabbard fitting are nickle plated brass and are in near mint condition. The fittings are held to the excellent condition leather scabbard with period leather staples. An original leather frog accompanies this bayonet. Also to note is that the bayonets reverse guard and upper scabbard throat are both marked with "S.M.IV 1588" making this a matching set.
