(A)The German Heer Dagger is, overall, in very good condition. The unmarked nickle plated blade has no damage, but has consistent graying and spotting throughout. The nickle plated fittings are in excellent condition. The cross guard has a different patina from the nut, and could be a possible replacement. The trylon yellow-orange grip is in excellent condition with some patina in the recesses and a few small chips. The scabbard is in very good condition and shows freckling and scattered light marks throughout. There is a small dent on the lower portion of the scabbard. (B) The Kreigsmarine Dagger is, overall, in excellent condition. The nickle plated etched blade is near mint and has the makers mark "Horster". A few scattered marks can be observed near the blades ricasso area. The gilded brass cross-guard and pommel nut are in excellent condition. Most of the gilding has worn off, but still display very well. The wire wrapped trylon grip is in near mint condition and shows a slight even yellowing from age. The gilded brass scabbard is in excellent condition as well. 75% of the scabbard's gilding remains intact and only a very small ding can be observed on the edge. The locking mechanism is still in working order.
