Standard Model 1840 NCO sword dated 1862 on ricasso, other side marked with Ames markings. Complete with black leather scabbard with brass mounts. CONDITION: Excellent. Blade retains almost all of its original polish with some light freckling and a few dark spots at ricasso. Hilt excellent showing little to no use. Scabbard excellent with only a few light storage marks. Red felt lining is still present. All markings, including inspector's mark on knucklebow, are excellent. From the Jim Linton Collection
