Lot contains (A) Blucher Sabre dated 1916, (B) Blucher Sabre dated 1916 with 1920 reissue date, (C) Saxony Infantry Sword, (D) German World War Two Police Officers Sword. (A) The Blucher Sword dated 1916 is in, overall, excellent condition. The 31" steel blade has a single blood groove on each side and is stamped on the spine near the guard with the Weimar crown over "W", and "16" for the year 1916. The blade is in overall near mint excellent condition with only a few areas of scattered light marks and some superficial scratches throughout. The iron D-guard is in excellent condition and shows an even aging throughout. The wooden grip is in very good condition and has light marks and heavy patina. The blackened steel scabbard is in excellent condition, has light freckling throughout with no dents. (B) The Blucher Sabre with the 1920 Weimar Reissue Date is in, overall, excellent condition. The 31" blade is in excellent condition and has been blued. Runner marks are present, as well as a chip in the blades cutting edge. The iron D-guard is in excellent condition with scattered light marks and patina throughout. The wooden grip shows use and has some light marks as well. The blackened steel scabbard is in very good condition with scattered light marks, freckling, and some dents near the end. (C) The Saxony Infantry Sword is, overall, in excellent condition. The 32" nickle plated steel blade features a triple blood groove as well as the manufacturers logo stamp and the etching "Thieme & Fuchs, Leipzig" with "Eisenhauer" under that. The blade is in near mint condition and shows only a few areas of light freckling. The gilded brass hand-guard is decorated with laurel leaves and the crest for Saxony. The guard is in very good condition, but has lost most of its original gilding, and has become loose from the pommel. The grip is wrapped in a shark skin material and bound with twisted wire. The nickle plated scabbard has a heavy patina throughout and is missing one of its throat screws. No dents are present. (D) The German Police Sword is, overall, in very good condition. The 33" "WKC" marked steel blade is in excellent condition. The blade has heavy patina and freckling throughout, and is stamped with the SS runes on the ricasso. The nickle plated hand guard is in very good condition. The guard is loose on the tang and the pommel nut will not tighten any further. The wooden grip in in very good condition. The reverse of the grip is missing the silver runner. The black painted scabbard is in very good condition with freckling and scattered marks throughout. The scabbard fittings have a heavy patina and appear to have lost most of their silver plating.
