Master engraver Johnny Adams is world renowned for the quality of his engraving. This beautiful revolver is no exception and features almost complete coverage what some might refer to as Class D. Pattern is a typical 19th century scroll and leaf with pronounced punch dot background, scales and border engraving. Finish is done in a dull nickel with fire blue screws and trigger. Sports a pair of Colt pony rosette black gutta percha grips. CONDITION: Gun has not been fired since work was performed. Near new condition inside and out. Indexes correctly both single and double action. Well defined, strong, clean bore. A most handsome example of Colt's first swing out series revolver.
