This is referred to as the Hornet Sporter manufactured between 1946 and 1974. Features bolt action, blued finish, five round magazine, three leaf rear sight, double set trigger, checkered pistol grip walnut stock. Exhibits beautiful custom engraving and center and breech of barrel in a leaf pattern. Entire frame is engraved. Bottom of the magazine and trigger guard are engraved. Include extra engraved magazine. In addition to the checkering, the stock features a Schnabel forend and is beautifully carved in floral pattern at tip and fore and aft of checkering; spectacular carved game scene with two pheasants on left side of stock, an otter on cheek piece, turkeys on butt; all surrounded by beautiful leaf carving; right side features fox, eagle and rabbit. Referred to as the ZB Mauser on the miniature Mauser action. Sport a quality German Hensoldt-Wetzlar 2-3/4 scope with claw mounts. CONDITION: This amazing little rifle retains 98% original blue finish. Excellent to near mint stocks with sharp checkering. Near new condition inside and out with spectacular carving.
