Made from 1883 to 1895 with about 7,300 manufactured, this boxlock side by side shotgun features concave rib with brass bead, damascus steel barrels with Colt address. Gun has extractors, double triggers, automatic safety, line engraved case hardened frame, walnut checkered pistol grip stock, Colt logo Bakelite buttplate and checkered splinter forearm with latch release and ebony inlay. Early three digit serial number gun. Shotgun include an extra set of damascus barrels with forearm that is numbered to the gun with slight difference in font of numbers, indicating that these barrels were fitted to the gun at the factory at a later date. Second set of barrels have concave rib and stamped Colt address. Comes with extractors and latch release forearm with ebony inlay. CONDITION: Attached barrels retain 60% original damascus finish fading to grey. Dark bores with no pits. Action has 20% case colors fading to silver. Wood has 10% original finish with the checkering wore flat and a slight crack at the wrist. Toe has small pinned repair and small chip to buttplate. Forearm checkering is worn flat and there is a replaced piece of wood near the top. Second set of barrels have 60% damascus finish remaining with shootable bores. Forearm checkering is worn flat with 40% original finish remaining and small crack towards tip.
