1946 was the first full year production since the war started, with 3,9004 manufactured. In its time, it was considered the ultimate .22 target rifle. Features full heavy round barrel, Olympic style target front sight with apertures, adjustable Marble-Goss rear target sight, OA scope block attached to barrel, walnut stock with wide forend and pistol grip, coarse checkered steel buttplate, two aluminum sling swivels on front, one steel on rear, adjustable mounting sleeve under forend. Rear sight base stamped "WIN 52 MS". CONDITION: Barrel and frame retain 98% of the original factory blue finish. Sharp barrel legends. Floorplate has some age freckling. Toning on trigger guard. Comes with original stamped magazine. Wood is excellent with usual small bruises. Fine bore and action. Ready for the range, just as good a rifle today as it was 72 years ago.
