Made from 1878 to 1889. This Model 1878 hammer shotgun has damascus steel barrels with Colt address in script on the concave rib, double triggers, case hardened frame with extractors, walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock, silver stock medallion, Bakelite Colt logo buttplate, splinter forearm with checkering, ebony inlay and latch release. The initials "C.H. Uhl" are stamped in the stock. CONDITION: Barrels retain 70% damascus pattern with pitted bores. Action retains case in protected areas with balance being a silvery patina. Trigger guard has turned plum along with forearm iron. Wood has dry appearance with visible checkering giving it a weathered appearance. Mechanically sound and functions fine.
