Boldly patterned Damascus barrels are engraved "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." on game rib without dolls head extension. Case hardened top lever action is fitted with bar locks having deeply chamfered serpentine rebounding hammers. Action is engraved with 60% coverage nicely cut shaded scroll within line and geometric borders. Lockplates have matching scroll. Both locks are engraved "Colt's Pt. F. A. Mfg. Co.". Top lever and trigger plate are blued, as is trigger guard which has scroll on bow and serial number on tang. Lightly figured European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14" over Rampant Colt embossed checkered hard rubber buttplate also embossed "THE CLUB GUN". Point pattern checkering wraps over top of grip. A vacant silver oval is on toe line. Matching splinter forend with ebony inlet schnabeled tip has modified Deeley release. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Barrels retain most of what appears to be their original Damascus finish, but is most likely an old re-brown. Action and locks retain approximately 30% original case color. Top lever and trigger plate retain about half of their blue. Trigger guard with traces of blue. Stocks retain most of an old oil refinish with added oil, and numerous scratches and marks. Checkering is somewhat worn and dirty. Bores are very good with scattered pitting throughout. Action is tight. Locks are fine. MGM30.
