Made in 1952. Features include full round barrel, blade front sight, semi-automatic action, detachable box magazine, two piece brown mottled composite grips, and thumb safety on left side above the grip. Rampant colt logo on left side of frame. CONDITION: Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. Gun retains approximately 90% of the original factory blue finish with just a bit of holster and high edge wear. Excellent grips with no chips or cracks. The Challenger was an affordable pistol compared to the more expensive Woodsman.
