This mid-sized Mercenier revolver, with unique manner of extraction, has a 4 inch barrel with fixed half moon front sight and notched rear sight. Left side of barrel lug is marked with the manufacturer, assembly number "751" and "CAL 450" (an error, as actual caliber 9mm). Serial number "243" on left side of frame. Depressing the serrated lever on the left side releases the cylinder to rotate out of the frame. Pushing forward on the knurled extractor lever, spring loaded, advances the cylinder axle and its attached extractor to remove the cases, in a manner reminiscent of the Galand. Base with rotatable lanyard ring. Major and most minor components are nickled with fire blued screws. Fitted with smooth ivory panels secured with single transverse screw with paired escutcheons. CONDITION: Striking 90-95% of bright original nickel with most most losses and slight discoloration on right side of frame and adjacent barrel lug. Excellent grips with minimal shrinkage. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Excellent manual mechanics.
