California maker Norman Levine began making knives in 1944 (professionally in 1974) and continued until his death in 1995. He was a full-time maker and a long-time member of the Knifemaker's Guild. Lot contains: (A) 9-1/4" overall length with blade being 5-1/4". Double edged dirk with dual finger grooves. Grass guard and laminated hardwood grip scales. Full length 1/4" thick tang. Bright, highly polished blade with maker’s touch mark on ricasso. No sheath. CONDITION: As new with no handling marks or evidence of use. (B) Small 6-3/4" boot knife with 3-1/2" blade with false edge. Angular brass guard with laminate grip scales. Full length 1/4" thick tang. Maker's touch mark is found on ricasso. With clip outfitted boot scabbard. CONDITION: Very good with light staining on blade. Guard is slightly tarnished. Scabbard is very supple and fine. (C) 6-1/2" overall with 3-1/2" highly polished blade. Angular brass guard with finely scrimshawed mastodon ivory handle. Scrimshaw consist of a full color tiger's head and is signed with a script "M" inside of a circle. Maker's touch mark is found on ricasso. CONDITION: Very fine with two small areas of staining on right side of blade. Guard is slightly tarnished and grip is excellent.
