Impressive large frame Spanish copy of the Galand revolver made by Teodoro, Ybarzabal in Eibar, Spain, with gold and silver inlays. This particular large caliber Galand has an octagonal barrel length of 5.5 inches with a drift adjustable front sight and a fixed rear sight. The top of the barrel is gold inlaid with the manufacturer and his location in Eibar, Spain. The barrel, cylinder, and extension lever, blued and highly polished, are liberally inlaid with scrolled silver. Circular accents around muzzle and leading edges of cylinder. The nickel plated frame, including the straps, and a number of small parts are embellished with a tight scroll. Wood grips, carved in a complimentary pattern with border, are secured with a single transverse screw. On the base is a rotatable lanyard ring. CONDITION: Approximately 60-70% bright original blue, the rest having faded to a mellow grey-brown. Silver inlays, now tarnished, are muted. Barrel connection to cylinder axle is loose, as is the locking latch of the extension lever, both requiring some adjustment. Dull bore with superficial oxidation and shallow rifling. Excellent manual mechanics.
