Early high polish Model 1883 Reichrevolver Officer's Model as made by the consortium of V.C. Shilling, C.G. Hanel, and Sauer & Sohn. Fitted with 4.5 inch barrel, partial octagonal, partial round, having a fixed front sight and notched rear sight. Caliber 10.55 appears on the left upper chamber flat. Full serial number on left side of barrel, frame, and sideplate, next to the encircled consortium logo. Usual acceptances on barrel and frame. Safety lever mounted on left frame, coarsely checkered grips, consistent with an Officer's Model, secured with a single transverse screw through pair of escutcheons. Lanyard ring present. Major components with high polish blue. Fire blued safety lever, escutcheons, and grip screw. Strawed cylinder pin retaining spring; trigger in white. Revolver is all matching with last 2 digits on virtually all small parts. CONDITION: Approximately 75% original, bright polished blue with comparable or better condition fire blued parts. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. An early high polish, all matching, no excuse, Reichrevolver made by the consortium. CORRECTION: Very rare double action variation, only one of 50 known according to previous owner.
