Scarce and sought after Enfield No 2 British Military revolver, all matching, production beginning in early 1880, most used by Canadian Service, many remaining in use until 1911. Standard configuration Enfield No 2, made from 1880-1889, with 5.75” barrel having fixed front and grooved rear sights. Latched top break opening with unique extraction set to selectively release only the fired cases. Cylinder has chambers individually loaded through the loading gate on the right side. Full serial number under barrel lug. Left frame with small broad arrow surmounting "WD". Usual British proofing adjacent to each chamber. Checkered wood grips. Large fixed lanyard ring on grip cap. CONDITION: Revolver retains approximately 50% of arsenal finish with small areas of cleaned etching. Surprisingly bright bore with strong rifling. Perfect manual mechanics with much less wobble on full lock up compared to most examples. A large and unusual revolver, antique, sure to interest any collector of Canadian and military design revolvers.
