Outstanding handcrafted pocket folder made by Joe Kious, a full-time knifemaker who sold his first knife in 1969. He specialized in investment-quality interframes and bolstered folders, some bringing up to as high as $10,000 each. 6-1/4" overall with a blade length of 2-3/4". Signed on right side of blade "KIOUS" and left side has a family crest with "B-S" below crest. Masterfully engraved by Marty Rabeno. Left side of handle is a vignette of a large alligator with fine scroll and vine arabesque with a dot punch background. Right side of handle in an equally centered vignette is a mountain lion at water's edge with matching scroll and vine embellishment. CONDITION: As new with very slight handling marks from being displayed.
