This is a very rare officers model private purchase 1883 Reichsrevolver made by Dreyse. This interesting gun features dual triggers. The front trigger works as a double action, in cocking the gun and advancing the cylinder. Pulling it all the way back engages the rear trigger which drops the hammer. Checkered wood grips. No military proofs. Spur at rear of triggerguard. Matching numbers. PROVENANCE: The Renowned Collection of Howard Resnick. CONDITION: Retains 60% original blue overall. All markings are clear. Checkered wood grips show some wear. Bore is fine with strong rifling and light frosting. Fine mechanical function.
