Extraordinarily rare Danish Navy Model 1891 with matching 4mm conversion, super lower serial number, according to consignor, the only one known. This standard configuration M1891 Revolver has a 5.5 inch octagonal/round barrel with drift adjustable front sight, that has been cleaned, and a notched takedown lever that serves as a rear sight. Top strap is marked with the Crown/S/A reflecting So. Arsenal/Sea Arsenal. The serial number "34" appears on the left side of the barrel lug and adjacent forward frame. On the right side of the frame are the encircled initials "JBR", reflecting production by the J.B. Rouge factory in Belgium, with Belgian proofing on the right side of the barrel. The conversion kit is in the white with a tubed barrel insert secured at the front by a screw locking serrated nut. The cylinder is released by pushing down on the checkered lever extending from the left side of the barrel lug. Matching serial number is found at the front of the cylinder axle. Checkered walnut grips with thin border, the right panel secured by a brass spanner screw. Rotatable lanyard at butt. CONDITION: Revolver retains approximately 85-90% original rust blue with patchy oxidation involving the right side of the barrel and sight, scattered flecks, less noticeable, elsewhere. Conversion assembly, that may have been lightly cleaned, is near new. Vg-ex grips. Conversion tube has mirror bore. Excellent manual mechanics. A scarce revolver by any standard and super rare with this conversion kit. Ex-Mueller Collection.
