Gigantic, Austrian, Adams-Design double action percussion revolver with 6 inch barrel having a drift adjustable front sight and notched rear sight. Loading lever mounted to left side of frame, secured by a small stud protruding from barrel. Just ahead of the 2.25 inch cylinder is Austrian Double Headed Eagle proof overlying Vienna reference. Full serial number on front of frame, assembly number "13" on cylinder, cylinder axle, and loading lever. Fitted with checkered wood panels, having a generous border, secured by a single transverse screw through paired escutcheons. Rotating lanyard on base. CONDITION: Revolver retains 60% original rust blue with most finish having faded from the cylinder. Slightly dull bore with sharp rifling. Excellent manual mechanics. A massive gun, undoubtedly an 1880s version of the .454 Casull!
