While produced under the auspices of the Imperial Navy, this particular gun does not have any Kriegsmarine proofs. It should be noted that the Luftwaffe was known to have used these as well, and this could very well be one of the Luftwaffe issued guns. It does have any Luftwaffe markings either. Large Eagle/swastika on the right side of the frame. Marked "A.W.W.37/ Z.J.Nr.223S". 4 1/2 inch barrels. Bakelite grips. The safety lever on the left side appears to be a restoration as well as one of the screws on the left side. PROVENANCE: Renowned Collection of Howard Resnick. CONDITION: Brass retains a pleasing dark patina. All markings are clear. Good mechanical function. Grips are fine with minor handling marks. Bores are fine.
