A very nice example of a World War II Collins V-44 knife/machete. The blade is stamped "COLLINS & CO. HARTFORD No. 18". Knife measures 14-1/2" overall. The blade itself measures 9-1/2" and has a mirror bright finish showing only scabbard wear. Knife has a nicely patinated brass guard and green horn handle. The scabbard is original to the knife and stamped "COLLINS & Co. LEGITIMUS 13". CONDITION: Very good.
