The aluminum model SLd "Stensignalpistolen" double barrel Star signal pistols were made by subcontractors starting in 1942, based off the Walther designed Stainless Steel SLd's. Black anodized finish. They were produced by 3 different contractors. This one was made by "eeu" and so marked on the left side of the frame in a rectangular cartouche. Dated "44". Standard Kriegsmarine proof. Wood forend with hand stop. Checkered wood grips. PROVENANCE: The Renowned Collection of Howard Resnick. CONDITION: Retains 75% black anodized finish, having worn thin in a few areas on the barrels, frame and grip straps. All markings are clear. Wood is good with some light handling marks. Bores are fine. Fine mechanical function.
