(1976) 28" Chopper lump barrels with slightly raised matted rib are engraved "Flli RIZZINI" and "MAGNO G. V. T." on tops. Barrel flats are stamped with 1976 Italian nitro proofs for 2 - 3/4" chambers. Coin finished sidelock action features a non-automatic safety (SICURA engraved), slight reinforce to action bar, and single non-selective trigger. Action and lockplates are engraved in Baroque style with swags of flowers and acanthus ensnared by ribbons, within a background of small scroll. On lockplates, ribbons are engraved with makers name and "MADE IN ITALY". "Fill RIZZINI" alone is on ribbon on bottom of action. Engravers signature, R. Balneari, is on trigger plate. Small bow trigger guard with matching flowers and scroll has serial number in rectangle on tang. Exceptionally well marbled and lightly stump figured flesh-toned European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 - 1/2" over thin brown leather covered pad. Well cut closely spaced point pattern checkering is on semi diamond hand and slightly fluted drop points are behind locks. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Gun is housed in good quality oak and leather case with brass corners, lined in burgundy cloth. Paper Rizzini label is in lid. Partitions are topped with oak. Case contains cleaning equipment, exterior straps, snap caps, square oil bottle, proof certificate (blank), and an auxiliary thick leather covered pad. CONDITION: Excellent, with evidence of considerable light use. Barrels retain approximately 95% original blue, thinning on sides from normal hand wear with some light marks and silvering around muzzles. Coin finish remains bright. Engraving sharp. Stocks retain nearly all of their original finish with some areas darkening and rubbed through on sharp edges. Checkering lightly worn. Bores are excellent. Mechanically fine. Safety is a bit sluggish due to congealed oil. Case is fine with some rubs and marks. Interior cloth is fine. Label is rubbed through in one spot. Owners name added in pen. Accessories are fine. These superb guns, regarded by many to be the best in the world today, start at 91000 euros without engraving. MGM 183
