The 7-1/2" barrel was a special order only and the first of this type we have seen. Sports a high Paine front sight but the rear sight is a standard Smith & Wesson so not technically a target. It is British proofed which would explain lack of adjustable sight as it was not allowable under English rules. It is a standard six shot, double action, blued finish, case colored hammer and trigger guard with Smith & Wesson logo checkered black composite grips. Two British proofs on left side of barrel. You will find matching serial number on barrel, cylinder and latch. Barrel has sharp markings and retains approximately 80% of the brilliant high polish royal blue finish. Cylinder has approximately 20% blue, mostly in flutes. Frame has 75% blue mixing with soft brown patina. Case colors have patterned out. Strap are a grey patina. Firing pin tip has been repaired. Grips are very good. Strong, near mint bore. Indexes and locks up perfectly double action (for whatever reason, sometimes it simply locks up and you must open it, spin the cylinder and restart it; there needs to be some attention to the action). A real rarity in the Smith & Wesson large bore top break arena.
