The Model 1911 was manufactured from 1913 to 1919. Magazine capacity was six rounds and features a pistol grip, walnut full length stock with finger groove and a full length walnut forend. Has a single metal barrel band with swivel, front band has bayonet lug. Includes original cleaning rod. Features rare original brass and steel muzzle/sight cover and military rear sight graduates up to 2,000 meters. All matching serial numbers. Stock features the Swiss cartouche. CONDITION: Rifle retains approximately 90% of the original military matte blue finish with a smooth steel buttplate. Majority of metal wear appears to be on trigger guard and bottom of magazine, which retain approximately 30% blue with the balance grey patina. This is an exceptional example of the short lived Model 1911 and about as nice condition as you will see.
