(1977) 26" Dovetailed barrels with narrow swamped game rib are engraved "Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham England" and "Service Armament Co Ridgefield N.J. U.S.A." on tops. Barrel flats are stamped with 1977 Birmingham nitro proofs for 2 - 3/4" chambers. Case hardened boxlock action with automatic safety and double triggers is engraved with 60% coverage scroll. "Webley & Scott" is on each side. Blued top lever, floorplate, and trigger guard have matching scroll. Serial number is on trigger guard tang. Dark, smoky marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 15 - 1/4" over dark brown leather covered pad. Stock features standard drop points, point pattern checkering and gold oval. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Gun is housed in blue/ green canvas covered case with tan leather trim, lined in scarlet cloth. Gold embossed black leather makers label is in lid. Case contains cleaning equipment, snap caps, square oil bottle, and exterior straps. CONDITION: Excellent, with evidence of light field use. Barrels retain nearly all of their blue. Case hardening of action silvering on sharp edges around bottom from normal hand wear. Top lever and trigger guard show a touch of silvering. Stocks are mostly blemish free, but with a fairly deeply scratched area on toe line between checkering and oval, and ring and other marks on forend at rear. Checkering shows very light wear. Bores are excellent. Mechanically fine. Case is excellent in and a touch faded out. MGM 184
