Included in this lot are 3 hunting knives which descended in the Family of Arthur W. du Bray. These three knives are believed to have belonged to du Bray during his later years and were his carry and hunting knives. These knives are accompanied by a signed and notarized letter from our consignor who is a descendant of du Bray attesting to the authenticity of the knives and the fact that these were indeed the personal property of "The Gaucho" (our consignor's great Grandfather). Knife 1) Criterion Hunting knife. This knife has a faux stag handle and has a brown colored sheath. The knife is in fair condition having been used with makers mark somewhat obliterated. Knife 2) E.M. Dickinson hunting knife. This knife with faux stag handle has a dark brown sheath. The condition is fair with some wear and minor pitting. Knife 3). Sheffield hunting knife with 3 line address. This knife with stag handle and hilt that is curved which is loose and has some cracks in the handle. This knife is fair to poor condition with rust and shows heavy use. Sheath is fair. A neat grouping once belonging to an important Victorian Shooter which is FRESH to the market and has never been offered for sale before.
