Standard Type I configuration 1863 Springfield rifled musket with matching 1863 dates on barrel and lock. Sharp cartouche on left side of stock opposite lock. CONDITION: The lock retains 60% case colors . Lock markings are soft. Hammer retains 90% original case colors. The rest of the metal surfaces have been cleaned, barrel proofs are weak. Rear sight still retains a fair amount of blue. Wood is very good with sharp cartouche and light dings and handling marks. Bore is excellent with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function.
