Manufactured in 1898 and chambered for the 30 WCF cartridge. This 26 inch full round barrel with full magazine 1894 rifle has two piece American walnut stocks with crescent butt and case colored hammer and lever. Very few antique Winchester 1894 rifles remain in fine or very fine original condition. This rifle is mounted with Sheard type bead front sight and three leaf express rear sight. Standard two line Winchester address in top of barrel and marked NICKEL STEEL BARREL ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER. CONDITION. Excellent with over 95% blue finish on barrel and magazine tube with slight browning coming through on front of tube. The receiver retains over 90% bright factory blue with slight edge loss and an area at top of turning plum from carry . The case colored hammer and lever are excellent with 60 7 colors on hammer and 25% on lever with very light pin prick pitting from poor storage on lower area of lever. The butt plate is starting to fade with colors turning a smoky appearance. The two piece walnut stocks are very fine with several very minor bruises and insignificant scratches but most all factory varnish remains . The bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. The action is crisp and properly functions.
