Manufactured 1906 and chambered for the 45-90 cartridge. Tapered octagon barrel with two magazine retaining bands. blue finished receiver with deluxe "I" checkered capped pistol grip butt stock and forearm. Double set trigger, shotgun butt and tang sight are all additional special features on this rifle. Winchester made many variations of the 1886 and would do just about anything a customer would request. CONDITION. Good, The barrel and magazine retain over 90% over their original finish with slight spotting and corrosion evident at muzzle. The forend cap and lever have been artificially colored to resemble case colors. The forearms is excellent with most all original varnish and sharp rifling, The receiver is very good with over 85% finish remaining with thinning at balance point and slight corrosion on right side. The butt stock retains over 95% of its original stock finish and has had a blank nickel silver name plate inletted into the left side. The shotgun butt plate is very good with most all blue finish remaining. CORRECTION: Rifle barrel measures 32", includes letter with corresponding information.
