Lot contains: (A) Dahlgren Pattern 1861 bayonet with scabbard. Flat single edged steel blade with clip point. Right side of ricasso stamped "U.S.N. / D.R. / 1864"; opposite side stamped in arches "AMES MFG CO / CHICOPEE". Brass guard is cast and marked on back of pommel with script "DR" cartouche. Complete with black leather scabbard with brass mounts. CONDITION: Very good. Blade shows most of its original polish with only a few scabbard marks. Hilt with some scattered marks from use and a mellow patina. Scabbard shows some minor scuffing and mounts show and unpolished patina. (B) 18th century triangular socket bayonet for a Fusil. 14" overall with 2-1/4" socket with 7/16" diameter opening. Top of blade deeply stamped with a "V". CONDITION: Good. Retaining a dark patina overall. (C) British 1st Model Brown Bess bayonet by Osborn. Measures 21-5/8" overall with a 17" blade and 4" socket. Top of blade stamped with a crown over "29", "Osborne" in script and a partially visible Ordnance proof. CONDITION: Good. Retaining dark patina overall with a couple nicks to edges. (D) Springfield Civil War bayonet measuring 19" overall with 15-3/4" triangular blade and 3" socket with a 7/8" opening. Top of blade stamped "U / US" and socket stamped "F / 70". Complete with original black leather scabbard with brass tip as well as cross belt with original US buckle. CONDITION: Very good. Retains a light grey patina overall. Buff leather belt with some staining. Buckle retains a dark patina. Scabbard with some flaking to surface. (E) Silver mounted dirk with tapered diamond section blade, solid silver two piece hilt and silver scabbard engraved with foliate designs. CONDITION: Blade retains a grey patina with some brown staining. Silver is unpolished and retains a dark patina showing some wear. Tip of scabbard has been repaired.
