This detailed model of a World War I field artillery gun measures 8-1/2" in length and stands 3-1/2" tall. The cannon is composed of solid sterling silver and nearly every component is stamped "S.M./ & Co". The back of the carriage is stamped with the date letter for 1920. The barrel does recoil and the door at the breech opens. Careful attention to detail shows every rivet and screw to be exactly as on the full size field piece. CONDITION: Very good. Appears to be complete. Partially polished with some dark patina in protected areas and on smaller components. Front portion of 5" barrel tube with some minor denting. Some of the London hallmarks show wear from polishing. This is a very accurate model made by a desirable English silver company. From the Ray Bentley Collection.

Item Dimensions: 8 - 1/2" L x 3 - 5/8" W.
