Joseph Rogers & Sons began work at 6 Norfolk Street in Sheffield beginning in approximately 1724. This is en extremely large post-1890 drop point Bowie that features full tang, stag handles, German nickel escutcheon, four pins, ball and German nickel cross guard. Stamped "J ROGERS & SONS NO 6 NORFOLK ST SHEFFIELD ENGLAND". CONDITION: Blade has a couple of minor nicks and has been lightly sharpened. Scales are excellent. Legends are bold. Comes in a period leather sheath that is border tooled with single seam and German nickel throat and tip.
