Lot contains: (A) Early Federal eagle pommel Cavalry saber with four slot guard and curved single fuller blade. CONDITION: Fair to poor. Blade retains a dark patina with scattered areas of corrosion. Horn grip shows deterioration. Guard is slight bent and retains a dark patina. (B) Starr Model 1818 Cavalry saber with curved single fuller blade, right side stamped "US/ P/ JN/ N STARR". Standard iron hilt with reverse P and wooden grip. Complete with original steel scabbard. CONDITION: Fair. Blade retains a dark patina with some marks from cleaning and a series of nicks on edge. Hilt retains a dark patina with traces of silver paint. Grip has some chipping and no leather remains. Scabbard retains a very dark patina with darkened traces of silver paint. (C) Early Federal eagle pommel saber with curved single fuller blade, four slot guard, and complete with original leather scabbard with brass mount. CONDITION: Fair. Blade retains a dark patina with some nicks to edge. Brass retains a very dark patina, pommel slightly loose and grip deteriorated. Scabbard missing two mounts and tip, crazed leather surface with some loss.
