Slightly curved polished steel blade with single partial fuller on each side. The right side with an etched panel displaying an American eagle with an "E PLURIBUS UNUM" banner in its talons and scrollwork above the ricasso. The other side with a large "U.S." in the center and a panel of scrollwork above the ricasso which is marked with Clauberg markings. Top is etched "IRON-PROOF". Nickel plated brass hilt with pierced guard featuring and engraved American eagle below and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" banner. Chagrin grip with three strands of wire wrap. Complete with nickel plated scabbard. CONDITION: Very good. Blade retains almost all of its original polish with some brown freckling on the left side and heavy brown freckling on the ricasso. The hilt retains an unpolished patina with some of nickel finish in protected areas. Scabbard excellent with almost all of its original finish; drag retains a dark, heavy patina with some corrosion.
