Made in Spain, the Model 56 is a higher graded sporting gun that represents an extraordinary value in today's gun market. It is without doubt a high grade gun that is well made and finished. This gun has near full coverage floral and scroll engraved on the lockplates and action which is all coin finished. The action is also fitted with side clips. The 26-1/2" barrels have a narrow game rib with makers name on tops and a steel front bead. The straight grip buttstock is checkered in a two point pattern through the wrist with tear drops carved behind action and terminates in a very pretty checkered butt. The gun has a single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and auto safety. In front of the safety there is a gold inlaid "S" and the top lever is high polish blued and nicely engraved. Tops of fences are beaded. The semi-beaver tail forend is checkered in a point pattern with Deeley release that is nicely scroll engraved. CONDITION: Excellent and very lightly field used. The gun retains nearly all original finish to both wood and metal. Barrels with more than 95% original blue. The stocks are mostly sound and retain nearly all of their original finish with only minor handling marks and a couple of light impressions. There is a tiny grain separation on the bottom right stock finger and a tiny splinter behind the top tang. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. A nice high grade gun that is a great value in today's market! JSL
