Both barrel sets are 28" long and are fitted with raised, ventilated ribs. 3" triangles of scroll engraving are at breech ends. Engine turned barrel flats are stamped with serial numbers, bore and chamber information. Flats of .410 barrels have lightening cuts. Both barrel sets are marked for "Improved Cylinder" and "Modified". Flat side, small frame, blued Model 21 action with water table milled away for lightening, features automatic safety and gold plated single selective trigger. Action is engraved in typical Winchester 21-6 style with near full coverage varying sized scroll within scroll and geometric borders surrounding vignettes of dogs and game; a setter on left side of action, a pointer on right, a pair of pheasant on trigger plate, and a portrait of a spaniel on trigger guard bow. Nicely crotch figured American walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/8" over checkered wood butt. Point pattern checkering is at grip, and a vacant gold oval is on toe line. Each barrel set has its own dedicated beavertail ejector forend denoted by the numbers "1" or "2" stamped on front of iron, as well as on wood, and on loops. Forends with inset ebony tips match well, and have typical Model 21 J-spring and knurled secondary release. Gun is housed in a brown leather case with leather corners lined in burgundy cloth. Case contains bags for action and barrels and a key. CONDITION: Excellent, appears almost unfired since proof, with only the faintest of handling and assembly marks on all wood and metal surfaces, most notably four or five 1/8" fairly deep digs on right side of butt. Bores are excellent, mechanically excellent. There are some minor marks on leather of case, interior has compressions. MGM 91.
