Offered is a nice, unmolested, antique Model 1894 rifle in the early .38-55 caliber. Features full round barrel, full magazine, German nickel sporting front sight, Winchester sporting rear sight, blue finish, walnut stocks, and rifle butt. CONDITION: This rifle has been used but was well cared for and still retains condition. The barrel and tube have approximately 85% of the original factory blue with brown patina coming up through the finish, creating a homogeneous blue-brown appearance with razor sharp legends. Forend cap is brown patina. The frame retains approximately 40% blue on both sides, perfectly blending to a balance of soft patina. The case colors on hammer and lever have darkened. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with the usual light impressions and some finish crazing. The screw heads are basically true. Rifling is well defined, albeit some very light black powder abrasions. A fine, no apologies needed, all original, early Model 1894 rifle.
