Springfield began to offer these rifles as an upgrade M1A with features including a 16 - 1/4" barrel with a 1:11 twist with six grooves, a 1 - 3/8" muzzle brake with 34 popple holes. Stock is synthetic one piece with a black finish, checkering along the fore arm and wrist, two sling swivels, and a buttstock compartment. There is a scout style Picatinny mount. Sights are ghost ring aperture rear and XS tritium front. Op Rod has "SOCOM 16" marked on it. CONDITION: Gun is in excellent condition, with the only light handling marks through out. Most notable spots are on the left side of stock above the magazine well and the gas plug which have visible scuffing. Barrel is bright and shiny. Action is fine. Gun comes with three 20 round parkerized metal magazines. An excellent shooter.
