It is obvious this rifle has seen little use. The full length walnut stock has the "JSA 1900" cartouche on left side for John Atwood, as strong as the day it was put on. Wrist has the cursive "P" in circle. Rear sight is graduated to 2000 yards. Has the standard post and blade front sight, front band with bayonet lug, sling swivels on both bands and stock, smooth buttplate with trapdoor. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 75% blue, blending with smooth patina and a few age freckles. Bands are a mix of blue-brown patina. Trigger guard retains approximately 50% blue. Magazine, frame and sideplate are a mottled grey. 50% fire blue on extractor. Wood is near mint. Fine bore and action.
