Unusual Mount Washington Glass Company biscuit jar has square body with decorated plated metal collar, lid and handle. Body of vase is decorated with stained and gilded decoration of thistle plants and blossoms against tan and clear frosted panels separated by gilded lines similar to the Royal Flemish decor. Vase is signed on underside with red Colonial Ware crown and laurel leaf logo and shape number "523". Minor tarnish to metal from age and normal use, otherwise Very Good to Excellent.
